Responded due to fuel leak. They claimed contaminated fuel, which I have learned is their standard response to get out of fixing their warranty claims. They said there was contaminated fuel, water in fuel. When you get it off, you will have to unscrew the black plastic piece on the bottom and screw it back into the new filter after replacing to o-ring which should come with the new filter. Funny how the whole population seems to be getting contaminated fuel. That is why there are filters on vehicles.

To change it you want to disconnect the two wires hanging from the bottom and then unscrew the entire filter with an oil filter wrench. I looked in my outside rear view mirrors and could see what appeared to be a mist spraying behind the vehicle. Filter is located on driver side near the back of the engine Pain in the rear to access. My 2006 24V cummins though. My water in fuel light never came on and I have since learned that this is a common problem with dodges. I have heard so many bad things about this vehicle between the years of 2006 and 2007, I think it only fair the dealer should stand up for their product.
Vehicle just out of warranty. Anyhow, Dodge suggests that I should claim it on my insurance. It will be a canister usually white in color and will be mounted to the engine by a bracket. Look far back into the space between the inner fender and the engine. I have immaculate service records.
