The film was directed by debut feature filmmaker Bill Watterson, and it was written by Watterson and Steven Sears a debut feature screenwriter. I hope to see more from the film makers. Description 'Dave Made A Maze' re-imagines classic 80's adventure films with a modern comedic edge and a higher body count. The maze is full of deadly booby traps and vicious creatures, including a monstrous minotaur Hennigan. Visual effects also makes you feel the story. One of my favorite moments is where the people become paper-bag people it's laugh out loud funny! Firstly I really loved the idea, it was really original and unique.
There's some symbolic blarney about how the maze represents Dave's creative inertia or something. Dave, an artist who has yet to complete anything significant in his career, builds a fort in his living room out of pure frustration, only to wind up trapped by the fantastical pitfalls, booby traps, and critters of his own creation. I had a fun time watching it, from the opening credits scene which is also impressively creative on. I do like something a bit weird or strange sometimes so I was curious about this movie. Every character is their own caricature. Mostly, however, the script is to blame: the kernel of a good story is lost, like its characters, in a cardboard maze of unfunny gags and the occasional bit of psychobabble. The film lasts a little more than an hour without the credits, so it will be over before it can bore you.
All the videos are hosted on third party sites uploaded by their third party users. I had to turn it off after 22 minutes. The maze is so large and vast, and a lot of careful planning, time and care went into developing it. That is the proper way to honor a film rather than simply name-dropping it. The movie stars Nick Thune, Meera Rohit Kumbhani, Adam Busch, James Urbaniak, Frank Caeti, Scott Narver, Stephanie Allynee, John Hennigan and Kirsten Vangsness. It is clearly a cult film, and one that if it was made in the 60's would be called either a stoner film or an acid film. Dave's been inside for three days and can't get out.
But the movie itself is not that good and is not really a horror movie, it's more of a comedy. The film crew is especially spot-on, if you've ever had anything to do with the film industry you'd laugh out loud on some of their scenes. I would love to see your other works. Ridiculous concept, extremely unfunny, horrible acting. I think all the positive reviews got it right so I'll focus on the negative ones. Call it whatever you want and it's probably all that! Dave's girlfriend comes back home to find out he's lost in a cardboard maze he built in the middle of their living room.
It was a completely sold out show, and as far as I know, everyone left raving about this film. What may appear to be a simple-minded set-up at the start quickly turns into a sophisticated madcap roller-coaster ride. Actually, everything about this movie is so well done, that I am hard pressed to find a single fault in the movie. Otherwise I say skip it. Inside the fort, however, lies a seemingly endless labyrinth which traps him, his girlfriend, and numerous other acquaintances. It must have been the actors' parent or friend because this movie here just sucked.
It really makes the corkiness and the nonsense shine. Instead of real blood, you see tissue paper flying all over the place. To those involved in the making of this film -- strongly consider submitting it for consideration. Ignoring his warnings, Dave's girlfriend Annie leads a band of oddball explorers on a rescue mission. Yet while Bill Watterson and Art Director Jeff White are clearly the stylists here, everyone including the nonplus actors, wind up feeling like nothing more than set decorations. I believe this was one of the best movies I have seen this year. But because we're set in the well established mold of self-revelation, and because we're surrounded by insufferable characters who are always above-it-all, Dave Made a Maze ends up being just as slight and disposable as a brown paper bag.
I didn't rate it the lowest possible because I'll give them a star for originality and creativity. Another hint as to the demographic this film targets. This is a very strange movie and unlike anything I have ever watched before - the premise is simple, a hipster builds a maze out of cardboard in his front room that is bigger on the inside than the outside, he subsequently gets lost in said maze and his hipster friends try to rescue him. In Dave Made a Maze 2017 Putlocker Full Movie, 'Dave Made A Maze' re-imagines classic 80's adventure films with a modern comedic edge and a higher body count. She protests at the stupidity of it all and eventually some friends with camera equipment show up and likewise can not fathom the issue. The main problem with it was the characters talking like hipsters all the time.
