While I didn't mind hearing them sing. This Tyler Perry play was one of the better ones yet. It gave me a sense of knowing that I have to be true to myself, love my children but not spoil them, and that no matter what, be true to my Lord. I am sure everyone will enjoy this play as much as I did. Also I enjoyed the musical performance at the end in which all of the actors had sung a song including Tyler Perry. If you are undecided about purchasing this play this is a wonderful gift for parents, grandparents and especially for your own personal collection.
Now, the play basically follows the same formats of many of his plays; but, it was actually entertaining. Remember, since she is still on probation, Madea is not a star candidate for employment. So, I just finished watching the play and I must say that it was pretty good. I love Jeffery Lewis' voice and Zuri Craig aka The CraigLewis Band. Synopsis When Madea is ordered to do community service at a retirement home, the residents and staff learn her special brand of justice in this new stage play. To make matters worse it ended abruptly with about 30 minutes left still. The duet with the characters Carson and Barbara was what, I believe, one of the major emotions that the elderly feel in nursing homes. And I rarely do that.
The musical ending is far the best and it ends the whole play. I loved seeing Madea and Hattie Mae together again. The actors and actresses did a wonderful job portraying their parts. Anyway, I still like you Madea, I love all your gangster ways and you do have some good advice. In my opinion it took away from the play and atmosphere. While there, Madea gives some good advice to several people. Madea, as usual was her hilarious self! The dvd was very funny and Madea had given some good advice towards the ending of the dvd which had struck home to me.
The story line was wonderful and has a way of making you think of how you should treat others and love them. I did not know that Tyler Perry could sing lol. It left me feeling disconnected and I lost interest in what was going on in the play. I laughed so hard I had tears running down my face. It was informative, true to heart, and enlightening. Madea went from room to room to room, giving each character advice. . Great job to Tyler Perry and the cast. Otherwise there was some very funny parts where I laughed out loud.

I think the play and plot could have been better structured so that the time could have been used to focus on the plot and the play. When I had rented the movie, I told myself I had to buy the dvd. In this case almost half of the play is spent with Madea giving advice about everything from how to raise children to how to pray. When a judge orders Madea to do 20 hours of community service at a local retirement home. There was too much singing throughout the place, and the songs were not that great. I am sure everyone will enjoy this play as much as I did.
This play was so funny! I am recommending it to everyone I know to see it! One of the new twists that I loved was at the end it was like an Old Skool party! This was one of Tyler's best performance and although his tour was cancel I am very pleased to have witnessed greatness once again. It was just that good too me!
